A Tech Host copies instructions and links into the chat box. They monitor the room and have the capability to mute or remove participants. If needed, they deploy breakout rooms. A brief Tech Host training will be provided prior to the convention and is a prerequisite for the role. It is easy to learn, a good skill to acquire, and a great service to provide.It is necessary for the Tech Host to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting, and to stay onboard until the closing of the meeting, a maximum of 15 minutes.
A Meeting Facilitator, commonly referred to as meeting Secretary, is the person responsible for leading a meeting. A script will be provided for each meeting. In essence, the Meeting Facilitator's purpose is to ensure that the meeting runs smoothly from start, to finish.It is necessary for the Meeting Facilitator to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting in order to welcome the attendees, and to stick around at the end of the meeting in order to answer any questions and facilitate the closing of the meeting, a maximum of 15 minutes.
A Speaker shares their experience, strength, and hope directly related to a specific WA-related topic. Speakers are welcome to choose their own topic or the program committee could provide a list of topics to choose from. Meeting topics will be confirmed prior to the start of the convention. The Speaker will generally share for 10 to 15 minutes at the beginning of the 1 hour session.
Would your home group like to host a meeting? This service could be for y’all! With this option, your home group would take the lead to provide a meeting facilitator, speaker, and tech host. You may choose your own meeting topic, or the program committee could provide a list of topics to choose from.This can be a great opportunity for your home group to be represented on the WA World Stage!
Would you be excited and inspired to host an activity? This service is for you! Yoga, Meditation, Talent Show, Tea Party, Dance Party, Juggling class, Toy Time….. set your inner child free!!!! You are welcome to conceptualise, plan and execute an activity of your choice, or the program committee could provide a few ideas for inspiration.You would be supported by a Tech Host, and a Meeting Facilitator or Co-Host could be arranged if needed.
